Biography
PhD in Biosocial Health Sciences and university lecturer in the Department of Nursing and Physiotherapy (University of the Balearic Islands). Specialist in pelvic floor physiotherapy, sexual education, obstetric violence, and health and gender studies. Her academic and research work focuses on promoting gender-sensitive healthcare practices, addressing inequalities in women’s health, and advancing physiotherapy interventions for pelvic floor disorders. She has lead cooperation projects in African continent and combines educational initiatives aimed at improving awareness and prevention strategies in sexual and reproductive health. Elisa actively contributes to interdisciplinary projects that integrate gender perspectives into healthcare education and practice like ACTITUD (focused on pelvic floor and female athletes).
